Sabah Ashraf built House of Kajaana to capture the comfort of knowing that delicious, high quality meals rooted in generations of culinary tradition and authentic flavors can be ready in minutes. It started as a simple strategy she grew up with, a basement freezer outside of Boston, always full of home cooked Indian dishes and ready at a moment's notice. Sabah's love of Indian food began in childhood, shaped by summers in the Himalayas at her family's home and years at boarding school in South India. That sense of comfort stayed with her through 25 years in investment banking, private equity, and design and innovation, where she led teams helping build beloved global brands. Eventually, she brought it all home, building a scalable collection of meals now found on Whole Foods shelves. Sabah holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and an undergraduate degree from Barnard College. Sabah serves on the board of the Ad Council, is a 2025 Tory Burch Foundation Fellow, and is a member of YPO's Gotham Chapter.
