Laura (Paredes) Oldaker is a visionary entrepreneur, educator, and healthcare workforce leader dedicated to improving care for older adults and expanding healthcare career opportunities. Alongside her husband Justin, she leads Academy On-Demand and The Gift of Caring, training more than 12,000 healthcare professionals across Arizona, with a new Medical Assistant program launching in fall 2026. She also created Care Mastery, AOD’s Assisted Living Compliance Companion and Dementia Training platform.
An Arizona Licensed Assisted Living Manager and Certified Dementia Practitioner, Laura champions economic mobility in healthcare for women, Latinas, and underserved communities. She was named a 2026 Tory Burch Foundation Fellow, adding to recognition that includes Verizon Wireless Latino Business Series Entrepreneur of the Year and 40 Under 40 honors.
Laura previously chaired the Southern Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the YWCA of Southern Arizona, and serves on the Pima County Workforce Investment Board. Her mission: expand opportunity, strengthen the caregiving workforce, and improve lives for older adults and their caregivers.
