Cedar & Saffron is a Dearborn catering company rooted in the flavors of Bint Jbeil, Lebanon. Built on family recipes passed down through generations, we bring ancestral Lebanese cooking to gathered tables across the city — from grazing spreads to full events. Every dish carries a story of heritage, migration, and the people who shaped it. We cook the way our families always have: with care, generosity, and the belief that a shared meal can bring people closer. This is food made to be savored, community worth gathering, and stories that are always worth passing on.

Amanda Saab is a chef, activist, and entrepreneur who has spent over a decade working at the intersection of food and social change. Named one of Cherry Bombe Magazine's 100 Influential Women in Food and a two-time MasterChef contestant (seasons 6 and 12), she is the founder of Cedar & Saffron, a catering company inspired by her family's recipes from Bint Jbeil, Lebanon. She is also the former founder of Butter Bear Shop (since exited) and is currently developing a sports drink for youth athletes.

Amanda founded Dinner With Your Muslim Neighbor, an initiative using the universal language of food to bring diverse communities together, and co-hosted Chefs for Palestine to raise funds for those experiencing genocide in Gaza. As Program Director at the Detroit Food Academy, she leads culinary education and youth programming that build leadership, life skills, and confidence in young people.

She holds a Master's in Social Work and a BA in Psychology from Wayne State University, a DEI certificate from Cornell University, and is an alum of the James Beard Foundation Chef Bootcamp for Advocacy and Policy. For Amanda, food is more than sustenance—it's a catalyst for change and a bridge between communities.
