Valorosa exists to inspire a life of richness through cultural fragrance, connecting legacy and modernity by honoring the stories of the immigrants and family who came before us. Every candle we pour, from Agua de Jamaica, Horchata, Coquito to Cafecito Con Leche, carries the bravery it took to build a life far from where the story started, turning that courage into a daily reminder for our customers. We are driven by the ability to represent the Latino community without appropriation, to authentically bring our nuanced, diverse stories to the forefront in a historically French, and Euro-centric industry. No matter where life takes you, you can move through its challenges with valor and feel at home in who you are.

Valorosa® was born out of my personal journey to reclaim my roots as a first-generation, non-Spanish speaking Salvadoran-American. Being Latina and American is not a linear, one-size fits all experience. For me, it meant a life-long struggle to navigate language, culture and heritage in one of the most segregated suburbs in America, Long Island, New York. I was never American enough, I was never Salvadoran or Latina enough. In 2020, I found a space where I felt at home: an online community of Latinas. I wanted to create that feeling of home for other Latinas. I'm driven to represent my community without appropriation, to authentically bring our diverse stories to the forefront in a historically Euro-centric industry, Valorosa exists to inspire a life of richness through cultural fragrance, connecting legacy and modernity by honoring the stories of the immigrants and family who came before us.
