I didn't set out to build a business; I just wanted to keep busy in the evenings while working a corporate job. In 2013, I started selling items from my closet on eBay. Every time I made a sale, my iPad made a “CHA-CHING” noise, and I was absolutely hooked. I eventually ran out of things in my tiny apartment to sell, so I did the next logical thing—I started looking into sourcing products from factories in China.

For the next three years, I built my e-commerce side hustle while working my corporate job. I worked on my business every morning, every evening, and every weekend. Finally, in 2016, I quit my corporate job, and I've now been a full-time entrepreneur for 10 years.
