Amalia Martino is a mother, daughter, wife, and the founder and CEO of The Vida Agency, an award-winning, certified woman- and minority-owned multicultural marketing and community engagement firm based in Seattle. She began her career in policy and corporate communications at Kaiser Permanente’s Institute for Health Policy and KP International. She then went out on her own in public relations, placing clients in Bloomberg Businessweek, Wired, the Puget Sound Business Journal, and a range of entertainment outlets. In 2017 she founded Vida, which helps clients connect with hard-to-reach communities through integrated marketing in more than 10 languages. Vida’s co-creation approach brings community members into strategy before decisions are made. For Amalia, entrepreneurship is a path to generational wealth and a lasting legacy for her family. She is passionate about sharing what she has learned with other founders from underrepresented communities, so the road is easier for those who come next.
