Storybeat Studio helps scholars, authors, and purpose-driven organizations shape compelling narratives, elevate their leadership voices, and secure public visibility.

Maybe you've spent a decade on research that could change policy, but it gets lost in translation. Or you're writing a book and can't find the structure. I work alongside scholars and leaders as a writer, strategist, and thought partner, bringing the craft and discernment to turn years of expertise into work that finds its audience. I will help you access rooms, relationships, and platforms that will increase your visibility.

Lisa Weiss

I'm the founder of the boutique storytelling studio Storybeat Studio, where I help authors, scientists, and scholars find larger audiences for their work. I'm also the creator of the workshop and multimedia series Object Diaries: Stories About Human Connection Told One Secret Object at a Time.

Before founding Storybeat, I spent nearly two decades in media, including serving an executive-level role with Oprah and as a producer for CBS News. I have three Emmy Awards® and an MFA in Prose and Poetry from Northwestern University. I created Object Diaries, a methodology for creating narrative through objects, which I teach in workshops and use with clients.

I live in the Chicago area with my family, including two kids, a dog, and two cats.
