AUGenomics is a next-generation sequencing lab in San Diego, providing DNA, RNA, and genomics research services. We serve rare disease researchers, immunologists, oncologists, drug discovery teams, and conservation scientists whose sequencing questions are too nonstandard, novel, or complex for larger providers to take on. Rather than fitting every project into a fixed menu of services, we build custom methods around the science, treating each client's hardest question as our own.

Hannah Dose is a scientist, entrepreneur, and CEO & Co-Founder of AUGenomics, a sequencing lab in San Diego. Her career began at the University of Hawaii, tinkering with CRISPR gene-editing technology to engineer pathogen resistance into plants. That obsession with DNA brought her from plant disease into human disease as she moved to an immunology research institute where her creative problem-solving helped her team tackle sequencing projects too nonstandard for typical sequencing labs. She decided the best way to keep doing that work was to build a lab of her own.

In 2023, she and co-founder Suzie Alarcon launched AUGenomics to serve rare disease, immunology, oncology, and conservation research clients that standard providers wouldn't take on. Today, AUGenomics remains fully bootstrapped, built without outside investment, and has completed 500+ sequencing projects, generating 100,000+ gigabytes of genomic data.

Hannah has directed AUGenomics' growth toward a maternal genomics initiative, shaped by her own pregnancy journey. She hopes to help move maternal care from reactive to preventative, so every mother gets answers before complications arise.
