I started Dapper Boi in 2015 because I couldn't find clothes that fit. Women's didn't work for how I wanted to dress. Men's didn't fit my body. I spent years in button-ups I could only fasten halfway and jeans two sizes too big to get over my hips.

My wife Charisse and I launched on Kickstarter with one pair of jeans, no fashion background, and no idea what we were doing. Eleven years later we've built Dapper Boi to $6.7M in revenue on $1.75M raised, with 50,000 customers and a 51% repeat purchase rate, roughly double the DTC average. We're carried by Nordstrom and Wolf & Badger.

What surprised us was who showed up. We built it for people who present like me. What we found was curvy, athletic, and plus bodies across every gender identity, anyone whose body doesn't match a size chart. Fit turned out to have nothing to do with gender.

It hasn't been a straight line. We sold our house to keep the company alive, a story that ended up in the documentary Show Her The Money. In 2025 we moved our family to Valencia, Spain to expand internationally.

This was never only about clothes. Confidence changes what people believe they're capable of. That's what we're building.
