VAWAA is a global platform for private mini-apprenticeships with master artists around the world — part creative retreat, part cultural immersion.

We connect curious travelers with extraordinary artists in their studios for a few days of one-on-one learning, from centuries-old pottery in Kyoto and Anatolian dance in Istanbul to photography in Norway. Guests learn directly through the artist’s hands, stories, process, and place — exploring the traditions, ideas, meals, and local rhythms that shape the work.

VAWAA offers a more meaningful way to travel: one rooted in creativity, human connection, and cultural exchange. It helps people deepen a craft, begin something new, reconnect with their imagination, and return home seeing themselves and the world a little differently.

Geetika Agrawal is the founder and CEO of VAWAA, a global platform for immersive mini-apprenticeships with master artists around the world. Born in India and based in New York, Geetika began her career as a designer, working across interior architecture, industrial design, digital products, and experience design. Before founding VAWAA, she was a Creative Director at R/GA and worked with organizations including Disney, Lincoln Center for the Arts, Mastercard, and AARP.

Geetika started VAWAA from a deep belief that travel, creativity, and human connection can change how we see ourselves and the world. Through VAWAA, she is building global infrastructure for human creativity in an AI-shaped world and defining a new category of creative travel. Her work has been recognized by the Webby Awards, Cannes Lions, Condé Nast Traveler, Artsy, CreativeMornings, American Craft Magazine, and TEDIndia.
