Line in the Sand

UPF 50+ clothing for women who love the water and outdoors. 100% of our profits to ocean and cancer organizations

About the Business

We found there to be an increasing need for women to protect their skin to prevent cancer, along with aging and skin damage. We also found that many women no longer want to wear traditional bathing suits but prefer being more covered up. Our clothing is chicer than what was previously available and allows women to be active participating in water sports, swimming, pickleball and golf. We use fabric made from recycled nylons and are sustainably. Most of our clothing is for women but we do have a line of rashguards and hats for men. We hope to expand into more menswear and also clothing for golf and other sports.

Lynne O'Brien

My career up until Line in the Sand was in law and health care policy. After my diagnosis with leukemia, I served on three boards aiming to increase cancer research and funding (LLS/Blood Cancer United, Prevent Cancer Foundation and Cancer Support Community. My latest employment was with President Obama's Cancer Moonshot. Line in the Sand combined all of my passions which include cancer research and prevention, helping women be active safely in the sun and giving back our profits to ocean and cancer causes we believe.
Our line is made up of Swim dresses, sun shirts, swim leggings and accessories mainly for women. We also have rashguards and hats for men and hope to expand that line.
