Franchesca Hashim has never been one to settle. She built her career at Airbnb during its peak growth, then led marketing at Everlane and GoFundMe—brands that never accepted the status quo.

When she became a mother to twin daughters and started searching for clean skincare she could feel good about, she brought that instinct with her. What she found was a sunscreen market that hadn't kept up: not with ingredients, not with innovation, not with the full spectrum of skin tones it was supposed to serve. For someone who'd spent her career pushing categories forward, that was impossible to ignore.

So she called her friend and former colleague, Alexandra Spunt. It turned out to be exactly the right call. Alexandra had spent her career at the intersection of creativity and conscious business—as one of Everlane's first hires, and later co-authoring No More Dirty Looks, a seminal guide to clean cosmetics.

Together, they saw the same gap from two angles, and landed on the same solution. In 2025, Franchesca and Alexandra co-founded Good Weather Skin: mineral SPF that's a pleasure to use, made with nourishing ingredients and proven actives, designed to look and feel beautiful on every skin tone.
