Michelle Pusateri is the founder and CEO of Nana Joes Granola, a Certified Organic food company she founded in San Francisco in 2010. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Baking & Pastry Arts and a former pastry chef, Michelle started Nana Joes Granola with a simple belief: great food should nourish people, strengthen communities, and support the farmers who care for our planet.

Over the past 16 years, Michelle has grown Nana Joes Granola from a small local business into a multi-million-dollar brand sold at retailers including Whole Foods Market and Erewhon—all while remaining self-funded and manufacturing locally in San Francisco. She has built the company around paying livable wages, sourcing organic and regenerative ingredients, and putting community before profit. Named SFMade’s 2024 Manufacturer of the Year, Michelle is now focused on leading Nana Joes Granola into its next chapter: building a financially sustainable company without sacrificing the values it was built upon.
